Happy Wheels has arrived just as the tragic and blasphemous demise of Flash is looming on the horizon—what a close call! We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We hope the anxiety over losing Happy Wheels hasn’t kept you awake at night. If you weren’t aware that this project was in development, here’s some exciting news: this marks the first official public release of the game. Please bear with us as we work to fix any remaining bugs.
Although I still favor Flash, what I appreciate about this version is its excellent performance on mobile devices. Currently, there are no on-screen controls for mobile, but we plan to include this feature in the next update. Thank you for your patience. If you’re eager to try the game on your phone right now, pairing a Bluetooth keyboard can provide a great experience.
While I initially stated that the game runs at 60 frames per second, some of the more challenging levels may experience slight slowdown at that rate. Fortunately, a setting is available to adjust this, and I am considering hosting a dedicated 60 Hz version on a separate page for users with powerful CPUs.
Rest assured, Happy Wheels JS closely replicates the original game’s design and gameplay. The database of users, levels, and replays remains intact since the initial release. The only thing lost is the impending end of the universe.
